About Google Workspace
What is Google Workspace?
Google Workspace is Google’s cloud productivity and collaboration suite for businesses. Formerly called G Suite, it includes Gmail with your company domain, Google Drive for file storage and sharing, Docs, Sheets and Slides for real-time collaborative editing, Google Meet for video meetings, Google Calendar, Google Chat, and administration and security tools. Everything runs in the browser and on mobile apps, so teams can work together from anywhere, often editing the same document at the same time.

What a proper Google Workspace setup includes
Verifying your domain and setting up MX records for Gmail. Configuring SPF, DKIM and DMARC so your email is trusted. Creating users and groups that match your organisation. Setting up Shared Drives for teams, so files belong to the company rather than individuals. Enforcing 2-step verification for all users. Defining sharing rules for external users. Managing mobile devices. Setting admin roles with least privilege. And planning what happens to data when people leave.
Migration to Google Workspace
We migrate email, calendars and contacts from Microsoft 365, Exchange or hosted email providers, and files from file servers, OneDrive, Dropbox or personal accounts into Shared Drives. Migration runs in the background while staff keep working, then we switch email delivery at an agreed time and help users get started.

Securing Google Workspace
Like any cloud platform, Google Workspace is only as secure as its settings. We enforce 2-step verification for every user, using security keys for administrators where possible, limit super admin accounts, block less secure sign-in methods, review third-party apps that users connect to their Google accounts, set Drive sharing policies so sensitive files can’t be shared publicly by mistake, enable alerts for suspicious sign-ins and settings changes, and manage mobile devices so company data can be removed from lost phones. Higher editions add data loss prevention, context-aware access and Vault for retention and eDiscovery.
Shared Drives: keeping files with the company
A common problem in Google Workspace is that important files live in individual employees’ My Drive folders. When someone leaves, files can be lost or become hard to find. Shared Drives solve this: files belong to the team, not a person, and access is managed by group. We design a Shared Drive structure by department and project, migrate existing files, and set clear rules on where work should be saved.
Collaboration features teams love
Real-time co-editing in Docs, Sheets and Slides means no more emailing versions back and forth. Comments and suggestions make review easy. Meet integrates with Calendar for one-click meetings. Chat spaces keep project conversations together. And because everything runs in the browser, staff can work on any device. We train teams on these features so they get value quickly.
AI in Google Workspace
Google includes AI features, branded Gemini, across many Workspace plans to help draft emails and documents, summarise content and analyse data. As with any AI tool, access controls and sharing settings matter, because AI can surface any content a user can already reach. We help you review permissions and set usage guidance.
Who uses Google Workspace with us
Startups and creative agencies, education and training organisations, fast-growing teams that collaborate heavily, companies standardising on Chromebooks or browser-based work, and organisations moving from personal Gmail accounts to company-controlled email.
Why businesses should stop using personal Gmail
Many small Egyptian businesses start with free personal Gmail accounts. It works at first, but brings real risks: the business doesn’t own the accounts, so when an employee leaves, their emails, contacts and files leave too; there are no central security controls; the addresses look less professional to customers; and there’s no way to recover data if a personal account is compromised or deleted. Google Workspace solves these problems while keeping the familiar Gmail interface, and we can migrate existing personal account data into company-owned accounts.
Ongoing Google Workspace administration
After setup, we can manage your Workspace as a service: creating and removing users, managing groups and Shared Drives, handling access requests, reviewing security alerts, applying new features safely and supporting users. Monthly reports cover licences, security posture and storage use.
Data location
Google Workspace data is stored in Google’s global infrastructure. Some editions offer data region policies for certain locations. If you have specific Egyptian data residency requirements, we’ll review whether Workspace meets them or whether another platform is a better fit. See Egypt Data Residency
Choosing a Google Workspace partner
Look for a partner who sets up security and Shared Drives properly, migrates carefully, trains your team and supports you afterwards. Make sure the account is registered to your company with full super admin access retained by you.
Case study
A Cairo creative agency moved from personal accounts and hosted email to Google Workspace with Shared Drives. Client files now belong to the company, and collaboration on proposals happens in real time.
