Logistics & Ports
IT solutions for logistics, freight and port businesses in Egypt
Real-time visibility from order to delivery: logistics ERP, warehouse management, tracking portals, driver apps and the rugged infrastructure that keeps warehouses and yards running around the clock.
Logistics runs on information as much as trucks
Egypt is one of the world’s great logistics hubs, with major ports, airports, free zones and trade corridors connecting Asia, Africa and Europe. Logistics, freight forwarding, warehousing and port-related businesses move enormous volumes every day, and their competitiveness depends on information: knowing where every shipment is, what’s in every warehouse location, which documents are ready, and what customers have been told.
Yet many logistics businesses still run on spreadsheets, emails and phone calls between disconnected systems. Customers call for status updates. Warehouse stock doesn’t match the system. Drivers use paper delivery notes. Customs and shipping documents are re-typed. Invoices are delayed because proof of delivery isn’t available. And operations run 24/7, so IT failures at night or at weekends hit hard.
ITZone provides IT solutions for logistics companies, freight forwarders, warehouse operators, transport companies and port-related businesses: logistics ERP and warehouse management, customer tracking portals, driver and field apps, integrations with customers, carriers and government platforms, rugged infrastructure for warehouses and yards, and round-the-clock support and security.

What is logistics management?
Logistics management is the planning, execution and control of the movement and storage of goods, services and related information from origin to destination. It covers transportation, warehousing, inventory, order fulfilment, freight forwarding, customs and documentation, returns, and the coordination between all the parties involved. Effective logistics management balances speed, cost and service, and increasingly depends on technology for real-time visibility and automation.
What is a WMS (warehouse management system)?
A warehouse management system (WMS) is software that controls and optimises warehouse operations: receiving, put-away, storage locations, picking, packing, shipping, stock counts and returns. A WMS tracks inventory at bin level, directs workers using handheld scanners, supports picking strategies such as wave and batch picking, manages lots and expiry dates, and provides real-time stock visibility. Many modern ERPs, such as Odoo, include strong warehouse features; high-volume operations may use a dedicated WMS integrated with the ERP. See Inventory Management
Logistics ERP and freight forwarding software
A logistics ERP connects operations with finance: jobs, shipments, warehouse activity, costs, billing and customer accounts in one system. Freight forwarding software adds features such as quotations, bookings, shipment tracking, documentation, carrier management and job costing. We help logistics companies choose the right combination, whether a specialised freight system integrated with a general ERP, or an ERP configured with logistics workflows, and connect it to warehouse, tracking and customer systems.

Rugged infrastructure for demanding environments
Warehouses, yards and port environments are tough on technology: high ceilings and metal racking block Wi-Fi, dust and heat shorten device life, and large outdoor areas need coverage and cameras. We design warehouse-grade Wi-Fi with access points placed for racking and scanners, fibre links between buildings, outdoor networks for yards, rugged handheld devices and printers, CCTV covering docks and perimeters, and UPS protection for critical systems. Networks are segmented and monitored, so a problem in one area doesn’t stop operations elsewhere. See Structured Cabling · Network Solutions
Fleet management and tracking
Fleet visibility helps logistics companies plan routes, monitor drivers and keep customers informed. Fleet management systems use GPS trackers or driver apps to show vehicle locations, trips, idle time and driving behaviour. We integrate fleet data with dispatch, customer portals and ERP, so tracking information flows into customer updates and billing automatically.
Integrations with customers and partners
Logistics businesses exchange data with many parties: customers sending orders, carriers and shipping lines, customs brokers, ports and free zone systems, and marketplaces. Integrations replace emails and re-typing with automated data exchange through APIs, EDI or file transfers, reducing errors and speeding up every step. We design integrations with monitoring and error handling so problems are caught immediately.
E-invoicing and finance for logistics
Logistics companies issue many invoices with complex charges: freight, handling, storage, duties and accessorials. Automating invoicing from completed jobs, applying correct VAT treatments and preparing for Egyptian e-invoicing reduce billing delays and disputes. See Egypt E-Invoicing
Who we support
Freight forwarders, third-party logistics and warehousing providers, transport and last-mile delivery companies, cold-chain operators, customs brokers, free zone traders with warehouses, and port-related and maritime service businesses.
Cybersecurity in logistics
Logistics and port operations are attractive targets: disrupting shipments causes immediate financial damage, and attackers know companies may pay to resume operations quickly. Payment fraud is also common, with fake emails redirecting freight payments. We protect logistics businesses with email security and payment verification processes, endpoint protection on office and warehouse devices, network segmentation separating operational systems, MFA, backups and 24/7 monitoring. See Managed Security
Choosing a logistics IT partner
Look for experience with warehouse environments, scanning devices, driver apps and logistics integrations. Ask how the partner supports 24/7 operations, designs rugged networks, and connects systems with customers and carriers. Check that they can deliver both software and infrastructure, since logistics problems often span both.
Data and dashboards for operations
Managers need a live view of operations: shipments by status, warehouse throughput, on-time delivery, exceptions, driver performance and billing backlog. We combine data from ERP, warehouse, fleet and customer systems into clear dashboards, with alerts for delays and exceptions, so problems are acted on before customers notice.
Case study
An Egyptian logistics company replaced phone-based dispatch with a custom platform, driver app and customer portal integrated with their ERP. Customers now track their own deliveries, and invoicing moved from weekly to same-day.
